What are giclee prints?
- Giclees are Fine Art prints and are commonly found in museums, art and photographic galleries. They have an authentic look and feel similar to the original watercolor piece and are rich with color and detail.
- Giclee (zhee-clay) is a French word, meaning "the spraying of ink." It is used to refer to an advanced digital printing technology.
- Giclees last many years without noticeable fade and should be handled in the same way as original works of art.
- Like all pieces of art, giclee prints should not be left in direct sun light, and should be protected from moisture.
- Framing your art under conservation glass will help preserve your investment.
- Giclee prints have a higher resolution than lithographs and the dynamic color range is greater than serigraphy.
- A giclee print is the closest printed reproduction of an original artwork that is currently possible today.
- The materials used in the printing of giclees have archival qualities including the Arches watercolor paper in which they are printed on.
Giclees are Limited Editions of 100, hand signed, numbered and include a Certificate of Authenticity.
